A great morning of birding

This morning, there were some awesome birds at the Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary! One of the highlights of the morning was when I heard the faintest pecking noises off the side of the trail. I then spotted a beautiful male Downy Woodpecker working on a small tree. We had also learned from a fellow birder that he had seen a Lapland Longspur at the Tsawwassen ferry terminal. After we finished our walk at Reifel, we headed out to find it. After only a minute of walking, there it was. It was a beautiful little bird and it was a lifer for me! I have now seen 277 species of bird in my life!!!

I hope you enjoy my photos!
